I had a wonderful stay at a charming tea estate bungalow. The staff was great, the dinners were fabulous, and the gardens were beautifully maintained. The location on the hillside was simply magical. The owners were friendly and took us on a lovely walk in the neighborhood to show us spices and tea fields. The food, especially the rice and curry, was delicious. The view of the mountains from the veranda was breathtaking. The room and bungalow were clean and comfortable, and the decor reminded me of my childhood in Ceylon. it was a truly enjoyable experience.
Nothing, all was good! 😊

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The attention to detail was impressive, especially in the beautiful rooms on the first floor. The location in the midst of amazing nature was breathtaking, just like the views of the mountains and garden. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service, making me feel so welcome. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of tasty options to choose from. Additionally, the hotel offered great value for money, especially considering the prices of the add-ons, like in-house yoga or the trip to the tea factory.
No complaints at all!

A very warm and friendly welcome in a beautiful place, in beautiful location, we were looked after so well. Our 6 year old little boy loved the swimming pool and all the toys available which helped make for a really relaxing stay at the end of our travels. The food was amazing and suited all tastes - it is prepared and served with obvious pride. The whole vibe of the place is wonderful and it attracts a good crowd. The villa team organised a day tour of nearby attractions and another day of hiking. Both were excellent and anything we needed was provided for.
The place could be upkept and improved. Ageing bathroom lagging basic comfort.

The gardens at Strathisla Tea Estate Bungalow are truly enchanting, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere. We loved sipping our drinks on the verandah and watching the abundant wildlife. The staff were incredibly helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. The meals were delicious and packed with authentic Sri Lankan flavors. The guided walk around the gardens and local area was informative and engaging. Even on rainy days, there were plenty of activities to keep us entertained, from board games to relaxing by the pool. The historic charm of the main building added to the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel for a truly relaxing and memorable stay.

Beautiful setting on a tea plantation with friendly and helpful staff. Home-cooked food was exceptional and they even provided separate meals for children. Great services including massages and yoga on site. Accommodating for families with a swimming pool and lots of toys.
Bathrooms could be refurbished in the future. Reservation fee payment via PayPal may not be convenient for some.

During our Christmas vacation, we had an amazing time at a tea estate bungalow nestled in the beautiful mountains of Sri Lanka. The villa had breathtaking views of the surrounding scenic areas and lush gardens. The food that we were offered was just superb, especially the variety of Sri Lankan dishes that we had the chance to taste. we appreciated the easy access to excellent hiking trails and the peaceful environment offered by the location.
Although we enjoyed the peacefulness of the location that we had chosen for our Christmas vacation, we do wish that the villa would have been closer to the main town since finding transport was a bit of a challenge. , the swimming pool's maintenance did not seem up to par, making it less inviting to swim in.

Absolute hidden gem! Nestled in the lush green hills and surrounded by tea plantations, this place is a true paradise. the historic building is a charming and beautiful escape, with a lovely terrace and garden, perfect for relaxing and yoga. the staff is extremely friendly and caring, making us feel so welcome. the meals are delicious, featuring local and fresh ingredients. the location is perfect for hiking, and the hotel offers great tours to enjoy nature and birdwatching.
The limited options for breakfast, but the setting was gorgeous. the rooms were a bit small for our tastes, but the stunning views more than made up for it.
